She was a member of Garfield Christian Church. Marlene graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and enjoyed attending the annual high school reunion. She worked at American States Insurance as a billing clerk.
Marlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and traveling with Richard.

BETTY R. BUNNELL, 96, widow of Paul Bunnell; children, Rick (Candy) Camden, Debbie (Jimmy) Kinz, Lisa (Steve) Phillips, Paul (Heikie) and David (Suzanne) Bunnell; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Seay; sister-in-law, Violet Bunnell.
Betty was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church. She retired from Indiana Insurance, and after retiring worked at various schools with special needs children and at Decatur Home Health where she often visited with the residents.
She loved to play rummy with her family, golfing, sitting in the sun, and she especially loved living life.

RITCHIE ALAN CRAGO, 70, wife, Suzie Crago; children, Jeffrey (Jenni) Crago and Chelsea (Brian) Roberts; brother, Tony (Lisa) Crago; five grandchildren.
Ritchie spent his career with Homeland Security with the Federal Government until his retirement in 2020.
Ritchie loved his family dearly and spending quality time with them, especially his grandchildren. He loved to camp, travel and go on cruises. When he wanted solitude, he would browse the aisles of Menards. He took pride in all he did, especially tending to his lawn and yard, and the maintenance of his vehicles.

ROSEMARY A. DIEKHOFF, 86, widow of Norbert Diekhoff; son, Michael (Annmarie) Diekhoff; siblings, Mary Ann (Norbert) Mayer, and Tom (Judy) Sanders; two grandsons.

AGNES CHARLENE ROOKSBERRY FEE, 71, husband, Rodney; children, Tylene Allen, Vanessa Creech, Mikey Denton and Hailey Hickman; siblings, Billy Rooksberry, Patty Gregory, Betty Hadley, Francis Tate and Pam Sidden; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Charlene attended Harry E. Wood High School. After high school, Charlene married Rodney Fee in Garfield Park. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital for 19 years as a housekeeper. She had a love for all children and they brought her so much glee. She was tender-hearted, giving, and generous. Her hobbies included gardening, shopping and yard sales, and fishing.

CHESTER T. HAYES, 98, widower of Dorothy; son, Chester “Teddy” Hayes, Jr. (Marlo); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Hayes.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Ted served in WWII with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for 42 years.
He had a great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and warm smile. Ted met the love of his life, Dorothy, at the local White Castle where he later proposed to her.

JUDITH A. HOHLT, 85, husband, Dr. William Hohlt; children, Erich Rose, Kristel (Steven) Kearney, and Melody (Andrew) Nussbaum; stepchildren, Ann Broecker, Eric and James Hohlt, Heather Tapak; several grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Judi was employed by her husband’s grip equipment rental company in L.A. California which worked with studios making motion pictures such as Tootsie and the Fugitive.
She was a member of Sts. Francis and Clare Catholic Church.

SCOTT DAVID JONES, 52, children, Nicolas and Holli Jones; sister, Stephanie (James) Weidman; step-grandmother, Barbara Letts.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He liked watching Notre Dame and Colts football. He was a food enthusiast and loved spending time with his children and family.

JAMES F. LANHAM, JR., 81, widower of Sharon Lanham; niece, Vicki Poteet; nephew, Gregory Lanham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965.
He enjoyed listening to music, driving fast cars, riding roller coasters, and spending time with family and friends.

John worked at IPS-Facilities Management as a supervisor, retiring after 37 years. He served on Greenwood City Council, was a member of the Jaycees and helped start Gateway Learning Center. He was a Southport Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Murat Temple member.
He was a fan of IU basketball, Cincinnati Reds, and the Colts.

ARLEEN K. HUMMEL HASH PERKINS, 84, husband, Richard “Nate” Perkins, Sr.; children, David and Richard “Nate” Perkins, Jr., Jennifer Brown (Denis), Jeffrey Hash (Dr. Patty Scott); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Indiana Central College and taught about four decades of elementary children throughout her career, including teaching many of her students’ children. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she always found a way to be of service. She blessed multitudes of souls throughout her journey.

FRANCES M. PICKETT, 92, widow of Eugene Pickett; son, David (Joyce) Combs; two grandchildren; stepdaughters, Rhonda (Dave) Wyszynski and Regena Pickett.
She was a longtime member of Crosswalk Community Church of God, where she enjoyed social events and choir. She worked for Thompson Consumer Electronics, retiring in 1992. Frances was an avid reader, enjoyed learning sign language and quilting.

RICHARDSON “DICK” SHANLEY, 89, wife, Carole Shanley; sons, Michael (Jill), Scott (Terry), Rick (Alli) Shanley; sister, Sue Parsons; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Dick served in the U.S. Army before embarking on a 33-year career at Ford Motor Co.
He found joy in simple pleasures like taking naps and spending quality time with his loved ones. Dick was an avid golfer. He enjoyed friendly games of bridge, euchre, and bowling. He was a season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts since 1984.

JUDY ANN SITZMAN, 81, husband, Dick; children, Ken (Jill), Kevin, Keith (Angela), and Kate Sitzman; seven grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Jerry, and Richard Schooley.
She had been employed as an RN at St. Francis Hospital, and Southside Healthcare. Judy was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church since 1967. She baked potica every Christmas and Easter. She loved swimming at the YMCA and in the family’s pool. Judy enjoyed camping, word puzzles, and supporting her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic teams.

BRADY RAYMOND SMITH-HUGHES, 4, parents, Alex Hughes and Kylie Smith-Banks; brother, Dawson Banks; grandparents, Lisa Schwarzkopf, Kevin Hughes, Douglas Smith, Tina Robinson, David Banks, Wendi Mahurin (Frank); great-grandparents, Joann Clark (Herb), Hilda Buttz, Barbara Schwarzkopf, Donna Wolfe, John Hudson, David Banks (Diane); great-great-grandmother, Iris Hudson.
He was a happy, energetic and sweet little boy who loved his family very much. He enjoyed playing hide-and-go-seek, video games, role-playing with superhero costumes, riding his bike, being outside and watching movies. His favorite movies were “Spider-Man,” “Trolls,” “Shrek,” “Cocomelon” and “Paw Patrol.”

BRIAN D. SOBEL, 63, wife, Jean Sobel; daughter, Jennifer Nicholson; two grandchildren; parents, Jerome and Iris Sobel; siblings, Max (Terry), Ross and Lisa Sobel.
A master of woodworking and cabinetry, Brian dedicated his life to honing his skills in woodworking, where he displayed unmatched talent and artistry. Brian had a love for the sport of boxing.
Family was at the center of Brian’s world. His bond with his daughter, Jennifer, was unbreakable. Brian’s personality was a unique blend of wisdom and feistiness.

BRANDI MCNEELY SYNESAEL, 49, husband, Michael Synesael; children, Ashley (Michael) Cook, Sean Synesael; five grandchildren; mother, Beverly (Jerry) Claburn; siblings, Thomas “Bubba” McNeely, August (Marc) Cook, Summer Riley, Emily McNeely.
She was a homemaker. Brandi enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She enjoyed camping and hiking in her earlier years, getting her nails done, going on walks, and her weekly Sunday facetime with her “little turkeys”.

STEPHANIE TREADWELL, 57, husband, Gary; children, Christopher (Katie) and Amanda Treadwell; sisters, Michele (Mike) Beard and Ann (Mike) Gough; three grandchildren.
She graduated from Roncalli High School in 1985. Stephanie enjoyed a 34-year career with Delta Airlines, allowing her to travel extensively. She loved playing euchre. She had a gift of instinct and knew how to read people and their needs. A beautiful person, Stephanie was often admired for her sense of style, both in her personal style and her home décor. Engaging, loving, smart, and kind are all words that describe her.

RONALD “DAVID” WILLIAMS, 77, wife, Maria Williams; son, David (Sarah) Williams; brothers, John and Donald Williams.
David served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Rolls-Royce in 2010. As a lifelong “factory rat,” he spoke fondly of the joys he encountered at the workplace and with his co-workers.
David liked to sing bluegrass tunes, much to his family’s detriment. He lived a rich life. David loved to spend time with his wife and son. He was always proud of his son and strived to give him the best opportunities to excel in life.

CONNIE ADAMS WILSON, 66, husband, Michael Wilson; children, Andrew (Ashley) and Amy Wilson; one granddaughter; siblings, Nega Lee, Archie Adams, and Fayerene Walden.
Connie worked as an administrative assistant for IU Health Methodist Hospital for 42 years. She consistently looked for ways to help others throughout her life. Connie enjoyed quilting, cooking, the Autumn season and would never turn down a chance to listen to Donny Osmond. She especially loved her role as a MiMi. Connie’s life was a living example of her strong faith in Jesus.
