![]() PHOTO COURTESY OF VISIT INDY Indiana Fever star Tamika Catchings serves as the I in one of the three “NDY” sculptures dotting the landscape around Indianapolis. One of the pieces is on exhibit at the west entrance of the DeHaan Fine Arts Center at the University of Indianapolis, 1400 E. Hanna Ave., through Oct. 30. The display sets the stage for the Oct. 20 TEDxIndianapolis (www.tedxindianapolis.com), a conference that sports the theme of “Keep it Simple.” The initiative will feature speakers sharing big ideas on various topics. The NDY campaign invites passers-by to pose alongside for photos and share them on social media. Since the April 1 launch of the program, more than 50,000 photos have been posted. UIndy is the first Southside location for the venture, which generally has focused on Downtown sites. |
