Footlite Musicals’ production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying runs May 5 through May 21 at the Hedback Theatre, 1847 North Alabama Street, Indianapolis. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, the musical follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” the office party, backstabbing coworkers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love. Among the cast are southsiders Alex Bast, Conner Becker-Chamberlin, Isaac Becker-Chamberlin, Joi Blalock, Silvia Seidle, Susan Sturm, Emily Theurer. Footlite Musicals is a fully volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that presents seven musical productions every year. Founded in 1955, Footlite Musicals has entertained the Indianapolis community for nearly seven decades. When I heard Footlite Musicals was putting it on, I jumped at the chance to audition and am so grateful to have been cast alongside such talented performers!” — Conner Becker-Chamberlin
