• Greenwood Christian Academy claimed its first triumph of the season with fourth-quarter TDs from Evan McIntire and Trey Dobson who threw for 187 yards. This is the Cougars first full varsity season.
• After winning only three games in the past two seasons, undefeated Greenwood tied that mark Friday with its third win of the season at Martinsville. QB Brock Riddle threw for 295 yards and four TDs while the ground game rushed for nearly 200 yards. New coach Justin Boser is 3-0 with the Woodmen.
• With revenge on its mind, Center Grove defeated visiting Louisville Trinity, the team that ended the Trojans 30-game win streak last season. QB Tyler Cherry threw for 280 yards and three TDS. Matt Yoder rushed for 105 yards. The Trojans limited Trinity to only 48 yards on the ground.
• Beech Grove picked up its first win against visiting Speedway. The Sparkplugs scored first by blocking a Hornet punt in the end zone for a safety. After trailing 16-8 at the half, BG turned Jeremiah Lee loose for three TDs for a come-from-behind win.
