The Falcons snapped a 5-5 tie with a two-minute 8-0 run and later extended a seven-point halftime lead to an 18-point lead (40-22) in the third quarter.
Junior Sadie Hill and sophomore Melody Johnson led Perry Meridian with 19 points each. Johnson also snared 10 rebounds.
Eight Woodmen scored as coach Lee Taft used 10 players in the first 13 minutes. Senior guard Ryan Bauer scored seven points and junior Leah Moore grabbed seven rebounds for Greenwood (3-7).
“We’re still trying to find constant effort,” Taft said. “We want to push the ball quickly, but we only had five possessions like that. We were too passive. We need to play hard all the time.”
The Falcons connected on 21-of-43 field goal tries, while Greenwood shot a frigid 22.9 percent, hitting only 11-of-48. Perry Meridian stood 4-4 after defeating Franklin Central 58-51 Saturday.
