Coach’s comments: “We have a lot of youth, so we are using the early part of the season to sort things out. We have more experience than it looks; we had five (Sobieray, Wise, Garrison, Duffey and Rau) on a 16U team that went to Little League state finals. We have some guys with power. We will have to be aggressive on the bases. Defensively we will be somewhat inexperienced. Ultimately, it’s the same game for the younger kids but it’s a game at a higher pace, a quicker game. The key to our season will be how quickly the younger kids can mature and develop.”

Coach’s comments: “We closed last season by playing some pretty good baseball, so we’re looking forward to this season. We have do have several starters back; our top six hitters return. I’m hoping that means our offense can get off to a fast start. We have good leadership. Our outfield has some speed and is solid. Our infield is set except for second base. We are solid on the mound and behind the plate. We should be able to compete with each team in the conference. I’m looking forward to some good competition. I like the lineup we will be able to put on the field.” |
