![]() SUBMITTED PHOTO The Southsider Voice’s Al Stilley (right) and former Western Kentucky University basketball players Jackie Butler (left) and All-American Clem Haskins were among honorees Saturday during a reunion of the famed WKU teams of 1965-66 and 1966-67, which had a combined 48-6 record and reached the NCAA tourney twice. Stilley was sports editor of the campus newspaper and assisted in sports information during those years.

![]() The boys swim team from Perry Meridian High School continued to improve on its times, this time at Saturday’s Franklin Sectional, where the Falcons dropped 2 minutes and 16 seconds. The team’s third-place finish earned coach Chris Etherington Sectional Coach of the Year honors. Junior Noah Coomler not only added to that total but also broke the school record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 47.33, which earned him a sectional title. He will compete in the preliminaries of the state finals in the 50 and 100 freestyle at 6 p.m. Friday at the Indiana University Natatorium. |
