To the editor:
On behalf of the city of Beech Grove, I want to wish everyone a merry and blessed Christmas.
All of us have a lot to be thankful for, so we should pause and give thanks for everything we have.
Many blessings to all of you.

Helping the needy
To the editor:
I am writing to share about what happened when we held our last auction of the year on Dec. 18, during which we always collect money for Servants Heart.
Our company buys gifts, and we sell raffle tickets for a drawing, with all of the money benefiting Servants Heart. It’s a great evening of giveaways, fellowship and fun at a good, old-fashioned auction.
Our customers are the best. They dug deep into their pockets to help raise $700 for those in need.
It keeps you in check as to how many folks are less fortunate than us. It sure helps us to step back and appreciate what we have.
I would like to thank all of our buyers and sellers who have made this the most wonderful year.
For those of you who follow our ads in The Southsider Voice, Maggie wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
