To the editor:
I read Scott Mohr’s article on Olive Branch Christian Church, and I want to thank him for taking the time to tell its story to the community.
I loved how his story captured the church’s history while highlighting its various missions work. His article did a wonderful job of capturing the essence that is Olive Branch.
We had quite a crowd for our last services. Many people commented that they had read your beautiful article. We were glad that they got to come back one last time. It was wonderful to see how much of an impact our church has made in the neighborhood and community.
His article was the most beautiful tribute that I could have ever hoped for. God bless him for that.

Welcome Beech Grove Station
To the editor:
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held April 29 to celebrate the grand opening of the Beech Grove Station Senior Community.
A large crowd gathered to celebrate yet another key economic development project for our beautiful city. The center, located at the corner of Schaff Street and Churchman Avenue, is a 60-unit, one-story apartment complex that as of this writing is one unit shy of being 100 percent leased.
The property, known for a long time as the Rock Pile, has finally been cleaned up and $9.2 million later is home to some happy seniors.
Talks are underway for the development of a second senior community.
With this large investment and additions at ADM Milling, Kinetrex Energy, Alro Steel and other businesses in our industrial park, we are well on our way to increased property values and more funding to further improve the delivery of services to all of you.
Paving and more infrastructure improvements are in the pipeline this summer.

National Day of Prayer
To the editor:
Can anyone deny that our nation needs prayer?
Thursday is National Day of Prayer. Groups from around the country will gather on the steps of city halls, state buildings and national buildings to pray for our nation.
I encourage you to do the same. If you cannot find a group to pray with, pray in your homes or at your place of work. Prayer will be held at noon.
Here in Beech Grove we will be at City Hall, 806 Main St., at noon with a group of concerned Christians and citizens.
