To the editor:
After many years of service on the Perry Township Small Claims Court bench, our current judge has decided not to seek re-election. There are a couple of candidates running to fill that spot, and I wanted to let you know that I am supporting Republican Joseph Schaefer for the position. Here’s why:
Joe is a lifelong Perry Township resident who grew up in the St. Roch Parish. He and his wife, Kim (Wyciskalla), have raised their family in Perry Township and have been active in our community.
You may know him from one of the many volunteer positions he’s held coaching youth sports. Joe has also served on the Roncalli board of directors and is a past president of the school’s Alumni Association.
He was admitted to the practice of law after graduating from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1997. He is a career litigator who has been engaged in more than 30,000 cases.
The court will be adding new technology this year, and Joe will bring his vast experience into efficient court operations.
Joe is a man of integrity and brings great credentials and experience to the job. I hope you will join me on May 8 and support Joseph Schaefer for Judge.

To the editor:
I encourage all of my friends in Perry Township to vote for Joe Schaefer as the next Small Claims Court judge.
Joe grew up in Perry Township so he shares our values. He is experienced, honest and hard-working, and he is the most qualified candidate for the job.
Please give Joe your vote in the Republican primary on May 8.
