Combining the joy of reading and the fun of Halloween resulted in a creative project for Nativity Catholic School’s fifth-graders, who were asked by their teacher Katie Jones to decorate pumpkins based on popular literary characters. Harry Potter, the Cat in the Hat, the Rainbow Fish and Snoopy were a few of the creations. Hunter Burge created a Frankenstein pumpkin; Aidan Leffer’s Rainbow Fish pumpkin was inspired by the book of the same name by Marcus Pfister.
