Students at St. Roch Catholic School gathered in the form of a cross after an all-school Mass to provide a farewell picture for their principal, Joe Hansen, who has been named to lead Bishop Chatard High School.
Hansen (below, second from left) was the principal at St. Roch for 13 years, and it was recognized as a Four Star School the past two years.
He will be replaced by Amy Wilson, the assistant principal for two years. Taking her place is Rick Rush (left), who has taught at St. Roch for 17 years.
Wilson said she is excited to carry on the strong legacy of faith, service, academics and sports at this landmark, which was established in 1924.
They are seen with the Rev. Jim Wilmoth, parish pastor.
