This year’s homecoming theme is “There’s No Place Like Southport,” a Wizard of Oz-themed take on school spirit. The club welcomes everyone to come see the sights and sounds of what is believed to be the area’s largest high school parade. The Cardinals will meet Bloomington South in the homecoming football game at 7:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium. Admission is $6
Southport High School’s Student Booster Club will present its annual homecoming parade Friday, and WRTV 6’s Rafael Sanchez and fellow staff members will serve as grand marshals. Starting at 5:30 p.m. at the school on Banta Road, the parade will head east until turning south on Madison Frontage Road, west on Southview Road and north on Shelby Street back to the school.
