The National Association of Women in Construction honored longtime Roncalli architecture teacher James Ratliff at its national convention Sept. 6 at the JW Marriott. He was recognized because his students have won the association’s annual Design Contest 10 times since the school first entered the competition in 1997. The organization, which has 354 chapters worldwide, asked Ratliff to speak to at the conference, which attracted more than 400 women. “I felt extremely honored to be asked to speak in front of a number of such professional people about our drafting and design program and about Roncalli,” Ratliff said.
