![]() (SUBMITTED PHOTO) Greenwood High School’s Class of 2019 sent confetti flying recently after being declared graduates. Commencement ceremonies were held in front of a capacity crowd of families and friends of the nearly 300 graduates. Four members of the class addressed the crowd, including valedictorian Cooper Grable Kelly, salutatorian Areeba Hasan, class president Jackson Mark Griesemer and class vice-president Lawson Riley Roberts. Graduates of the Class of 2019 also were awarded $2.6 million in scholarships to attend college.

Gretchen Erdman is the valedictorian of the Class of 2019 at Lutheran High School, and Mollie Graham and Jared Sneed are salutatorians. Erdman will attend Butler University in the fall to study pharmacy. At Lutheran, she was involved in soccer, theater, National Honor Society, Academic Super Bowl, student ambassadors, and chamber choir. She enjoys sports, theater, and spending time with her friends and family. She credits good time-management to be able to get her work done without sacrificing her life. She lives with parents JT and Denise Erdmann.
Graham plans to attend the University of Indianapolis to study chemistry and biology with the goal of attending medical school and becoming a pediatric or regular otolaryngologist. She participated in Spanish club, soccer, tennis, theater, student ambassadors, praise band, choir, the theater board, and the LuFest committee. She is the daughter of Jim and Laura Graham. Sneed will attend Butler University and plans to study pharmacy. He has participated in baseball, cross country, theater, National Honor Society and student ambassadors during his four years at Lutheran. He is the son of Brent and Jennifer Sneed. |
