The Reunion Band, known for its sock hop music, will perform Friday at Greenwood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5864, 333 S. Washington. The group will take the stage after a pork loin dinner is served from 6-8 p.m. Dinner tickets are $10 if purchased in advance, $12 at the door. Hundreds of Dogs and Cats Can Be Adopted
More than 1,000 dogs and cats from approximately 25 animal shelters and rescue organizations will be up for adoption from noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Indy Mega-Adoption at the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ South Pavalion. The animals are fixed, vaccinated and microchipped and can be adopted for $30. Pets will go home with their new owners the same day. Admission is free, but parking at the fairgrounds is $5.
