The show opens Friday and is a condensed version of the award-winning Broadway production, which was based on Disney’s animated feature film.
The young cast (everyone is 18 or younger) of wacky villagers, enchanted furniture and dancing flatware will perform such songs as “Belle,” “Gaston,” “Be Our Guest” and the title tune.
“Audiences of all ages will delight as they experience the beautiful and brainy Belle transform the heart of the menacing beast in this beloved fairy tale about different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love,” said director Phyllis Ann Arthur.
Curtain time is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays at the troupe’s playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. Tickets are $16, of which $2 will be donated to the Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship fund.
