Wright Brothers in Concert

Keep Southport Beautiful
The 14th annual Keep Southport Beautiful Day cleanup will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Coffee, hot chocolate and energy foods will be available at the Southport Community Center, 6901 Derbyshire Road, before the cleanup. The first 50 preregistered volunteers will receive free T-shirts. Thousands of Tulips Will Bloom at Sunken Gardens
Although Mother Nature is unpredictable, about 10,000 tulips are expected to burst into bloom early next week at the Sunken Gardens at Garfield Park, 2450 Shelby St. The annual orchid show runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22 at the park’s conservatory. Admission is $4 per person or $10 per family (maximum of two adults). ‘Mary Poppins’ on Stage
