The comedy, set in 19th century New York City, follows Dolly as she does her best to match up all of the young lovers ... and perhaps herself. The situation quickly turns to utter pandemonium as everyone tries to sort through identities and relationships.Yet somehow Dolly negotiates all of these complexities, bringing everything to a hysterical and happy conclusion.

The theater is holding auditions for “The Rainmaker” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, April 2 and 3. The production calls for a cast of six men and one woman. Performance dates are weekends Aug. 3-12.
