Wedged somewhere between the popular television series and the 1970 Oscar-nominated film, Buck Creek Players’ production of M*A*S*H picks up with Hawkeye (Ryan Powell) and Duke (Kurt F. Clemenz), two of the best chest surgeons in South Korea, joining M*A*S*H, or the mobile Army surgical hospital.
When the pair’s antics are added to Trapper John (Greg Dunn) and Walt Waldowski’s (George Chimples) outrageous pranks, Col. Blake (Gregory Brinkers) has his hands full. They decide to wage a campaign to get a young Korean named Ho-Jon to the United States and entered in a good school. The thread of this effort helps tie together the pileup of comic adventures involving other beloved characters. The plays opens Friday, March 31, for two weekends at the troupe’s playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. Curtain time is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets, $16 for students and senior citizens (62 and older), $18 for adults, can be reserved by calling 317-862-2270 or visiting www.buckcreekplayers.com. Discounts are available for parties of 10 or more when tickets are purchased online. |
